Wide receiver Terrell Owens has found a new home with the Cincinnati Bengals after agreeing contract terms Tuesday with the AFC North champions, according to a report on the NFL team’s website (

Owens, who played last season for the Buffalo Bills, after high profile stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers, will be sharing the ball and the attention with equally flamboyant receiver Chad Ochocinco, the big play target of Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis confirmed the deal, according to the website.

“Terrell is a proven, productive player who can come in and help us,” Lewis said. “It’s a big move for us, one that we really think is going to help us.”

The Bengals could use a boost to the passing offense after ranking 26th last season.

Palmer completed only five passes of 40 yards or more last season, while Owens caught five of that distance for the struggling Bills among his 55 receptions and five touchdowns.

Cincinnati had already taken steps to bolster the passing attack by signing free agent receiver Antonio Bryantto a four-year contract.

  1. It is really going to be interesting to see T.O. in Cincy with Ochocinco there. Two of the most controversial wide receivers in the league on the same team, it’s like a media dream come true. I actually think that TO can help a team out, but he truly has to realize that he is not the go to guy and is not going to get the ball all the time. I’m not sure that is possible. Nevertheless, it is going to be a great NFL season. The only thing I’m waiting for is Favre to officially return :).
